This is the best sandwich shop in OKC! And their cinnamon rolls are the most mouth watering, scrumptious, bakery delights ever to come out of an oven! Peggy and Dave have been serving the best food for decades, but when are they coming back from vacation? Missy H.

Major dub alert. I Guarantee a win if you come here or I'll slap my mother. I got a Ruben, and a surprise sandwich no pork. Pastries and a salad for 14 OTD. Today I won

Updated! I go here once a week now and the service is still amazing. I'm just sad they don't have our orders memorized yet! Guess that means we need to bump it up to twice a week! The sweet lady (I think the owner) is literally the nicest, most humble lady. She is just pleasant and I'm happy to give them my business. Since I've been last time, I've developed a craving for their pasta salad, which I always get as my side now. Also, I've tried a couple other sandwiches and my favorites are the cheese special with no veggies and the grilled chicken, both on rolls. Also, I've tried some of their desserts, but their cupcakes take the cake haha. I have a routine now to make sure we go before the lunch rush so that I get cupcakes before they run out. These are probably the cheapest bakery cupcakes in the city, but I promise you, they are my favorite. Brown's comes in a close second. They cheer you up on a cloudy day for sure. Please don't EVER close your doors!!! I would be mortified!

Delish! It took me 3 years to finally get here after I first heard about it. All I can say is that I'm so mad at myself for not getting here sooner! Simple, fresh homemade and delicious. The staff was a pleaser! I will be back! I had the pastrami on rye but ate it before thinking about snapping a pic My daughter had the meatball sandwich (pictured) my other daughter and the veggie sandwich and a turkey and provolone for the g-baby! (They has the same phat girl issue as me)

I was at Circle K at 23rd & Western getting gas and I see this place to my left and I am hungry which is sometime a constant state for myself so I decide to go eat and it coincidentally lunch time. I pull out onto Western and do a semi illegal U-turn into a parking space to make sure there are no Covid-19 signs on the window and thank goodness there are not. I go to the door and it automatically opens up and I think that the doors are automatic but it was just a nice gentleman coming out and he opened the door for me. I'm greeted as soon as I was in the door and that is always a good sign of a nice friendly place. As I am looking up at the menu the nice lady behind the counter hands me a to go menu so I do not have to stretch my ne k and boy do I love her at this point and so does my neck. Then I immediately start to look down at the dessert case and forget the menu in my hand since I can take the menu and sit down she tells me if I have any questions just ask. So I take my menu to a seat and browse to see what I want since I consider them to be rather reasonably price of course I want to try more than one . So I get the cheese sandwich with 3 cheeses which makes me very happy and the veggie with no avocado and no onions. I also get a deviled egg, white chocolate macadamia, sugar cookie and just because they have them and because I have never had one before a chocolate sugar cookie. Before she helped me with my desserts she said hold on let me put your sandwich order in I said ok. No sooner had I got my three cookies and paid for everything and turned back around and sat down she was coming around the corner with my order. When I tell you I was shooketh beyond belief that they were done with both of my sandwiches honey I couldn't wait to check them. I went outside and got in my car and what do you know both of my sandwiches were made just like I asked them to make them I will most definitely will return to this spot for the service and the prices. Also if you have never tried a chocolate sugar cookie just stop by to try it, it was soft and chewy in the middle nice and crunchy around the edges just like a cookie is supposed to be.

Really cute little place because I am all about ma and pa shops, this place is the epitome of that. Everything is homemade, the bread, the cookies, the cinnamon rolls. I tried the special sub which was good, the freshly made sub roll was excellent, pillowy and just the right amount of chewiness! Also tried the s'mores bar, which was good but too sweet for my taste. The dessert selection is enticing and the price is even crazier! Where else can you find 60 cents desserts? Sign me up please!! Can't wait to try more sandwiches! Also it's credit card friendly, but the hours are a little restricting, it closes pretty early.

FRESH FRESH FRESH sums this place up. Their bread and baked goods are baked fresh daily and once you take a few bites you will be able to tell. It's very small but a perfect quick easy spot for lunch. Even during the rush hour they still try their best to get you in and out. They offer all types of sandwiches from your plain Jane ham and cheese to a Reuben or corned beef sandwich. Their bread is out of this world fresh. Don't stop at just the sandwich get yourself one of those great priced cookies you can thank me later they offer so many different sweets and never have i ever had one that disappoints!

First question: How do they survive with these prices? Second question: How long will they be around? Third question: How do they make such awesome desserts? This place has been around for a very long time and they haven't invested a lot into renovations, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. (This may be partially the answer to question 1). For Q#2, I hope forever, since they are really good. The food is great and are always willing to accoomodate my crazy needs, like adding blackened or grilled chicken to an avocado cream cheese sandwich. I do recommend it. To highlight question 3, the desserts have never disappointed and if that is against your diet, fear not, they have bananas. The choice is yours, but I think you will cower down to the sugar gods and get a cavity. The desserts are $0.62, while most other places charge $2-3 for a similar size brownie /lemon tart. The biggest flaw about this place is the parking and their hours. The hours are pretty restrictive for dinner as they close by 6 or 7pm at the latest. I am unsure where to park if the 4 spots upfront are taken.

The following menu items are quite delicious (and filling) for me: - 1. Hoagie (Hot) - 5. Reuben - 8. Corned Beef - The super cheap desserts Sit outside if the weather is nice (and if seats are available). That way you don't feel like people are hovering over you while they're waiting in line. The place gets pretty busy at lunch, and I always feel awkward with someone's butt really close to me while I'm eating. Someplace Else isn't for everyone though. You should ask yourself some questions before visiting: 1. Do you like sandwiches? 2. Do you enjoy restaurants that have been community staples for decades? 3. Do you prefer restaurants where a filling meal doesn't result in an empty wallet? 4. Do you like having variety when it comes to sandwich innards? 5. Do you love the idea of paying pocket change for a number of large, delicious cookies, and other desserts? 6. Do you prefer your customer service to be low on sass and high on Oklahoma charm? 7. Do you use Jason's Deli sandwiches as the measure by which all other sandwiches are compared (as one of the other reviewers has delightfully done)? If you said no to most of these, then get out.
